GHOST NETS
aaaaaaarrrrrggggg.... this makes me mad. Imagine this; a mystery killer drifts silently around the ocean, trapping, strangling, suffocating, and drowning many hundreds of creatures such as sea turtles, dolphins, seals,fish, sharks, sea lions, even entire coral reefs. What does this killer look like in your head? A monster? A cartoon villan?Nope, its an abandond fishing net, known as a "ghost net".Since people keep making their nets out of stronger, synthetic materials, such as plastics, the problem is getting worse and worse. And its not just plain nets: other kinds of nets, ones with floaters attached that bstay anchored, are even worse.
